Sauveur Mallia

It's getting harder to find real interesting stuff out there for you, but I think you might like this french composer. He actually is a bass player, Composer, Arranger, Session Musician who played and composed unnumbered amount of Tracks and albums. He also was very succesful with the french space Disco Band Arpadys in 1979.
After that he made quite a lot of Libray Albums and there he really rocks.
I made for you a small selection from 8 Tracks I found.
Minimal Synth, Space Disco, Experimental.
If anyone has some rips of his TELEMUSIC Lps please contact me.

Future Sound of London

At last a post from one of my favourite Groups. Absolutly mad Geniuses from England. This is a duo that leaves you with the mouth open. For me they are the Kings of mixing. Blending so many different sounds together that you can nearly see a picture. I have three albums here for you that represents there genius. Sometime they change their name for example to Androgynous Amorphous ect. but they are always the same people (Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans.)

ISNESS
Psychodelic electronic mix thats gets you into space :) Incredible album from 2002.

DEAD CITIES
This album is from 1994. Insane remixes and sounds.

ALICE IN ULTRALAND
This album is from 2005 and definatly together with Isness one of their best.

Institute of Sound Performance - Starbird

A private release from a Berlin School like group, founded by two guys from Germany.
Has some interesting moments. This release is from 1989. Never heard of them again.
For you electronic fans.

Free System Project - Pointless Reminder

This album from the Dutch electronic group Free System Project is an absolutly must have. To my shame I have to admit I never heard of them until recently but I am a big fan already, you can buy ALL their albums with closed eyes. The sound is Berlin School TD, KS 70s like but trimmed to perfection. This album was from 1996 and re-released in 1999.

YOU - Timecode

Al last and thanks to Skudge Bladius we can listen to YOU's Timecode.
Great electronic album from this German Band that never reached big audiences but always had his fans.
In my humble opinion this is the best YOU album out there.

Wally Badarou - Colors of Silence

And because I got so many great albums lately here Wally Badarous last solo album. It was a limited edition and is now out of print. Great tunes, more african sound like, the typical Badarou Style even some Reggae Style. Very nice album.

Here is what Wally Badarou says himself about the album:
••• I went for it, nonetheless, and I'm glad I did it, even though it was all but nearly as succesful as "Echoes" or even "Words". Total lack of promotion made it an 'intimate' release, which was exactly what I was looking for: just a buzz-maker and time-buyer that would allow me to concentrate on the real thing as soon as I'd have time, which could also turn into a rare collecting item later, once the final versions made their way to success. You never know.

••• Let me make it very clear: "Colors Of Silence" was NOT my third instrumental album. Its limited edition already spoke against the idea. As suggested by the subtitle ("Musical Poetry For Yoga"), it was to be viewed as a soundtrack album first, and a conceptual 'demo' compilation album second. As minimalistic as it may sound (to some of my fans delight), it was not 'written' to be the type of album I've been known for, in any way. As always with of my demos, I'd be the only one to tell what will be retained for the final versions, out of the melody line, the chord changes, the atmosphere, the rhythmn, etc. Guess what 'Amber Whispers' could sound like at the end ...

Hoenig/Goettsching - Early Water

Another interesting Team up. This time Michael Hoenig and Manuel Goettsching. The recording was actually made in 1976 but not released until 1995. Very interesting early stuff.

Chris Franke - Circular Signs (Bootleg)

Ok here we have a very interesting release. A Bootleg from C.Franke with variations from some known themes and also some new Tracks. Unfortunatly no cover. If anyone is aware of another Franke Bootleg please let me know.

Michael Hoenig - RIAS Roadshow

Here we have another rare release from Michael Hoenig. This was a Radio Broadcast from around 1977 / 78 in Germany. Soundquality is no CD quality but not so bad either. Hope you anjoy.

Baumann/Haslinger/Baxter - Blue Room

Here we have an interesting album from 2 Ex Tangerine Dream members. Peter Baumann and Paul Haslinger teamed up on this 1992 album. It was planned to be released on the Private Music Label, but in the end never was. Unfortunatly this also was Peter Baumanns last musical release (at last to what I know).

Wally Badarou - Echoes

Here another Wally Badarou album from 1984. Echoes was quite succesful. If you don't know who he was read the info in the first Badarou post on this page.
Very lighthearted relaxing album.

Download it here

YOU - Electric Days

At last a YOU album. The first one from 1979. Berlin School type. Great sequences. I am still looking for the other YOU albums, if someone here has them please don't hesistate to contact me :)

Harald Grosskopf - Synthesist

And today another album from an Ashra Tempel member. Harald Grosskopf was the Drummer, but did also some solo albums, apart that he worked a lot with Klaus Schulze. This is his first album from 1980. Great tracks. Another fine rip from sualk111.

Manuel Goettsching - E2 E4

What can I say about this aboslutly great album from Guitarrist Manual Goettsching of Ashra Tempel ? Just you HAVE TO listen to it if you don't know it already. The Trance Scene is mad about this minimalistic album from 1981 and so am I.
Rip was made possible by sualk111, thanks a lot.

Art of Noise

First of all sorry for the long no post. I had to shut down my Soundtrack Blog because the Industry has an eye on the Blog community ...
Let's get right to the music. At last an Art of Noise post. There are just three bands in my humble opinion that are able to mix samples, music and keyboards the right way. First Yello, but if you think Yello is too comercial get Art of Noise, they really know how to mix Airplanes with Pianos or starting motors with a beating drums. They are famous because of there Voicesamples. At last there are "The Future Sound of London" the last albums from these guys are also just fantastic. (Stay tuned for an FSOL post)
I ll post these two albums from 1986 and 1987 when they were splitted up
already. Originally they were formed by Trevor Horn but in these two albums there were keyboardist/arranger Anne Dudley and keyboardist/programmer J.J. Jeczalik left. This was the peak of they're success with Art of Noise. Even though all the later albums are also great but these two albums are absoluty fantastic. Hope you get it.

Eddie Jobson - Theme of Secret

Great electronic album from Eddie Jobson from 1990 released on Peter Baumann Private Music Label.
This dynamic rock violinist has played with everyone from UK, Roxy Music, and Frank Zappa to Jethro Tull. Jobson's recordings as a leader showed much promise in their use of keyboards, computer-generated sounds, and wailing electric-violin solos.

Mind over Matter - Music for paradise

This is MOM first release. It is the CD version with 2 extra tracks from 1991. MOM is basically Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock. The music has a lot of asian influences and is more new age like. Anyhow a very nice album. This one was requested.

Bogmayr / Zugschrader - Blue Chip Orchestra

This is the first album of the Blue Chip Orchestra, conducted by Hubert Bognermayr. A fascinating fusion of classical influences, new age music, modern technology . Floating Sequences and melodies. Sounds sometimes a little like Software. These two guys are from Austria.

Alex Cima - Cosmic Connection

This 1979 release from frecnch composer Alex Cima is very interesting. Electronic Synth pop but without vocals. Again thanks to Tolouse Low Track for the recomdation and Anonymous for the upload. :)

German Electronic Synth Pop Disco

I am listening to these albums lately a lot and I thought you might also be interested in them.
First an album that I already posted some month ago:
Leda - Welcome to Joyland
The album was actually composed by Peter Baumann (Ex-Tangerine Dream) in 1978. This is a Pseudo Disco Pop album with Vocal sung by a Woman.
Very interesting work.

Get it here

The second album
Xynn - The computed Man.
Also german :). This album is from 1980.
Arranged by Kristian Schultze (he even worked with Giorgio Moroder on Scarface ect.)). Drums by Curt Cress. Keyboards by Xynn and Schultze. Electronic Songs sometimes romantic but never cheesy (at least to my point of view :) )
Very interesting Mix

Get it here

The third album:
JYL from 1984. The album was produced by Klaus Schulze.
The group was formed around a german singer Angela Werner who already had released 2 soloalbums. Interesting mix between Disco Electronic Music, close to Leda.

Get it here
I hope you enjoy these albums.
Thanks to Laserbeak (RIP) and Telekon to make them available and Tolouselowtrack to bring them to my attention because they are really hard to find albums. If someone has the other 2 Xynn albums or any of the A. Werner Soloworks please let me know. Thanks

Hosono & Yokoo - Cochin Moon

I leave the explication to pitchfork.com:
Before performing with Ryuichi Sakamoto in classic Japanese synth pop outfit Yellow Magic Orchestra (or just YMO), producer and onetime session bassist Haruomi Hosono made his share of eclectic music. If you're familiar with YMO, you might imagine he was involved in Kraftwerk-influenced electronic music, or perhaps more traditional pop, but as it happens, he made his name as session bassist and playing in bands like the psychedelic Apryl Fool and folk rockers Happy End-- a far cry from the modernist slant of his reputation in the West. However, he also made a record in 1978 called Cochin Moon with keyboardist Shuka Nishihara, and future YMO bandmates Sakamoto and Hideki Matsutake that is arguably more bizarre and forward thinking than anything he's done since.
Very interesting album.

Software - Chip Meditation Part 1

Software first album from 1985. (This is the CD release which contained 3 additional Tracks). Enjoy (and leave a short comment, please :) )

Wally Badarou - Words like a mountain

This is truly a Majestic piece of Electronic Music. Nearly classic music.
Wally Badarou produced a lot of music and even was the 5th invisible member of Level 42. This is one of his Solowork.
Just listen to "Leaving this place" or "Mt. Fuji" It is a must have.

Mark Shreeve - Thoughts of War

One of Marks firsts albums. If you like 70s TD and Klaus Schulze get this, because it's great.

Download it here

Software - Past Present Future CD1

As requested another Software album. It's an sampler (1987)from their previous albums.
Expect Hypnotic sequences and beautyful melodies.

Track 1 originally released on Beam-Scape.
Tracks 3, 4 and 6 taken from Chip-Meditation.
Track 7 taken from Phancyful Fire.
Tracks 2 and 5 previously unreleased.

Redshift II (Mark Shreeve) - Ether

Great electronic music from Mark Shreeve and Friends who founded a group called Redshift. They sound like a mix between Klaus Schulze - Tangerine Dream - Berlin School. Very interesting and a lot of pulsating sequences. This one is from 1997.
This was ul by Stevo. Thanks

Sesselberg - Synthetik 1

This one is a really obsure release from 1971. To German guys and of course they were from Duesseldorf (Kraftwerk, Neu, Cluster ect.). Only 600 LPs were printed. No real melodies. Bubbling sounds that sounds like metalballs :) Very experimental but has some great moments.
Some sounds were used in the Dub Scene.
Hope you get it :)

Gandalf - Journey to an imaginary Land

This was Gandalfs first album from 1981. A lot more traditional instruments then his later works. Absolutly great album from the austrian new age wiz.

Download it here

Software - Syn Code Live

Another German Group. Software was Peter Mergener and Michael Weisser and during the 80s they released a lot of albums together.
This duo was really underrated. They composed beautyfully sequences and melodys. It's their own style. I will put up some other albums by them in the future.

Automat

This find was really accidental. I never knew it even existed.
Here some explaining from Soundohm.com:

An obscure record with a curious story: Automat was a project headed by the Italian musicians from a pop band called Bottega dell'arte, Romano Musumarra, Claudio Gizzi (composers) and Mario Maggi (programmer of sounds in a Memory Controlled Synthesizer MCS70). They made an electronic album back in 1978, a curious mix of drone music, bizarre stuff ' a la Pierre Henry 'machine danse' and electro-pop in Kraftwerk or Jean Michel Jarre vein. The first side is totally taken by the long Automat suite by Claudio Gizzi, while the B side contains three shorter tracks by Musumarra: the track 'droid' was very famous in Brazil because was used like theme of a TV telenews, "Jornal da Globo" (Globo TV) in early 80´s. Every sounds on Automat was generated by the MCS70, a monophonic synth built by Luciano Torani, who intended to use the album as the demo disc for the MCS70 (all the tracks was programmed on an analog sequencer ). Unfortunately, Only one MCS70 synthesizer was produced.
I found this release on newprogshine.blogspot.com, check it out if you are into progmusic.

Klaus Schonning - Lydglimt

This was the first album from Danish composer Klaus Schonning who until shortly I never heard of. A friend of mine recommended me this album. And he was right this 1979 album sounds like an interesting mix between a beginning New Age, Electronic Kraut Rock album. Nicely done.

Comments

To all you guys would be nice if you could leave a short comment when you dl the stuff. Thank you

Peter Baumann - Trans Harmonic Nights

This is probably Peter Baumann's best solo album. Trans Harmonic Nights (1979) features straight forward electronic music (even today it sounds actual). Unfortunatly after this he startet with Disco Music, which in my opinion was a waste. But in 1978 he released under a Pseudonym the Pseudo Disco album "Leda - Welcome to Joyland" very interesting Electronic/Pop/Disco Mix with a lot of TD Sounds.

Wolfgang Riechmann - Wunderbar

Another German Composer Wolfgang Riechmann from Duesseldorf. For sure no one outside Germany will know this one. He even played with Wolfgang Fluer (Ex-Kraftwerk) and Michael Rother (Solo Artist) in a Band back in the 60s. This album was released in 1978, unfortunatly he himself was killed 4 days before the official release of his own record in a burglar.
Very nice album, floating sequences, the first track sounds like a spaghetti western theme.
This one was originally posted on the great
http://kraut-team.blogspot.com/ Blog. Visit this blog if you are into Kraut and Electronic Music.

Andreas Vollenweider is a Harpist, but he mixes his tunes together with synth. Sometimes relaxed, sometime funky. This album is from 1981.

Michael Shrieve/Klaus Schulze - Transfer Station Blue

Great Album from Michael Shrieve and Klaus Schulze. Released back in 1986. Expect Klaus Schulze Sequences with Jazz tunes. Very interesting mix.

A fantastic album by Mark Shreeve. The music is adapted to Stephen Kings "it". One track was co written by Chris Franke from TD (Icon). This is a must download.

Gandalf - The Universal Play

Gandalf is a swiss synthesizer wiz :) He is doing a lot of New Age Albums. This 1989 album one is really great. I think you too.

Edgar Froese - Pinnacles 2005

At last a update. Sorry I was too busy.
This is an remastered version from the 1983 release
Pinnacles by TDs Edgar Froese. Great Album
Btw. I have the original album too
