Cluster/Baumann/Schnitzler/Moebius

After yesterdays trip to the more comercial side of E-Music today back to the roots with some of the founders of E-Music. First Clusters Album from 1979 Grosses Wasser (Big Water). It was co-produced with then Ex-TD Man Peter Baumann. Very interesting album. To me it's like a sequel to Trans Harmonic Nights from Baumann (see down) but sure you will here Cluster. Scarce Sounds but interesting sequences and melodies.

Second for today we have another interesting collaboration from Peter Baumann, this time with Conrad Schnitzler who was one of the founding members of KLUSTER and now a solo artist. This Maxi Single was released 1983 and is quite nice. The 3rd track reminds me a little of Kraftwerk.
Unfortunatly Peter Baumann iss not composing any music anymore. He created a spirital guide center for natral enlightening. Google Peter Baumann and the Baumann Institute for more Info.

And the last album for today from Dieter Moebius (Cluster). Tonspuren is also from 1983 and you can here clearly cluster. Even though H.J. Roedelius is not playing here.
I will have a H.J. Roedelius post later.

  • Thank you very much for the posts!
You have a great taste, and through this blog I come to know more E-music.
If I may leave a request: the later works of Adelbert von Deyen are much appreciated.
    All the best,

    Jay

  • Neon Clocks
The clock is one of the oldest human inventions, requiring a physical process that will proceed at a known rate and a way to gauge how long that process has run. This is a typical way one can define a clock. Now since the seasons and the phases of the moon can be used to measure the passage of longer periods of time, shorter processes had to be used to measure off hours and minutes. This is where the clocks come into picture. Clocks are one of the very first complex machines created by humans. Initially they all had pendulums and gears, but now they come in many different forms, from quartz watches to atomic clocks! But, to make it more exciting, more attractive, the technology has come out with an eye-catching product called Neon Clocks.
